New Day retains WWE Raw Tag Team Titles against The Hurt Business
The New Day (Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston) were supposed to have a day off today but in a backstage segment taped earlier today, they were challenged by Hurt Business members Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. Kingston was a little reluctant but Woods accepted the challenge with the Raw Tag Team Titles on the line.
There was a double count-out and for some reason, The Hurt Business were declared as the winners. But this meant that New Day retained their titles and MVP demanded for the match to be restarted. New Day agreed and the match continued.
Kingston took a bad fall on his ankle and The Hurt Business continued to work on the ankle for the rest of the match but Woods was finally able to tag in and he pinned Benjamin to retain the titles for his team.
The Hurt Business was not happy and it looks like there will be another match, likely at the TLC PPV.
