More On Zelina Vega Being Denied Request To Meet With Vince McMahon Following Her Firing
As we reported yesterday here on eWn, Zelina Vega wanted to meet with Vince McMahon after she was notified of her release from WWE and was denied that request. She was then escorted out of the building and sent on her way. According to Fightful Select, this is indeed what happened but it had less to do with Vega personally than it did with McMahon’s general unavailability to the current WWE roster.
One source said it’s “hard enough” to get a meeting with McMahon on TV taping days. Obviously if you’ve just been fired, it makes it even more difficult. One member of the SmackDown roster says they had to wait weeks after getting called up to talk to Vince and that hasn’t changed since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Several WWE Superstars did wind up calling and texting Zelina after her firing to give her encouragement and support.
