Kane comments on his status as an in-ring performer
Kane, real name Glenn Jacobs, is the Mayor of Knox County in Tennessee and has taken a big step back from WWE.
However, due to his longevity and loyalty to Vince McMahon, Kane will likely remain under contract with the company for years to come.
The former WWE Champion did an interview with FOX Sports to talk about The Undertaker’s Final Farewell at Survivor Series.
During it, Kane was asked about his own status as an in-ring performer as his last match came at the 2018 WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event where he worked a tag team match with Taker against Triple H and Shawn Michaels.
“You never say never in WWE. But, at the same point in time, I’ve gotten to the point in my life where I’m comfortable not being in the wrestling ring. It’s hard work. I’ve also gotten to the age where a lot of times I’m like, ‘Man, that looks like it hurts!’ I used to be, ‘Man, I wish I could be out there doing that!’ Now I’m kinda like, ‘Oooh golly. Those guys are a lot tougher than I am now.’ Nevertheless, if the opportunity arises … well, you know, we’ll see.”
Kane also talked about The Undertaker, their friendship, and more. Check out the full interview here.
