Billy Corgan believes that CM Punk should consider joining the NWA, stating that the company would love to have him on board. Corgan, the president of NWA, expressed his thoughts on Punk during a recent interview with Andrew Zarian from Mat Men.

According to Corgan, Punk is a top industry star and deserves to be compensated as such. While acknowledging that Punk may be out of the NWA’s price range, Corgan extended an invitation to Punk, emphasizing that he would have a great time in the NWA.

“What I would say to Phil is that he would have a lot of fun in the NWA. I think Phil, the person, loves professional wrestling. If he wants to have some fun, come have some fun in the NWA. We’ll kick some ass, we’ll have some laughs, and I’ll buy you a vegan sandwich.”

Corgan, drawing from his own experiences as a rockstar, understands the need for individuals like Punk to reconnect with their passion. He believes that Punk’s love for wrestling should be celebrated and that the industry as a whole benefits from having stars like Punk in it.

“Punk belongs in this business, he’s a star, he needs to be treated like a star. There has to be a way to balance those forces where the guy who loves professional wrestling can do what he loves to do, even if it’s behind the scenes.”

In conclusion, Corgan reiterates that Punk’s presence in the wrestling industry is valuable and that he hopes Punk can find joy and fulfillment in whatever path he chooses, whether it be with the NWA or another promotion.
