Closing segment of WWE Raw was cut off by USA Network because some segments ran long
If you tuned in last night, then you noticed that WWE Raw went off the air a little bit early last night. USA Network cut off before AJ Styles got to pose with the WWE Championship after he attacked Drew McIntyre.
PWInsider reports that there were numerous segments that ran long last night and WWE management was not happy about that. This might explain why the MVP vs. Matt Riddle match was so short.
In other Raw news, most of the script was finished well before they went on the air and Vince McMahon did not rip up the script as has been the case for many of the shows in recent months. A WWE source told PWInsider that the show was written specifically for McMahon and “the writers giving him what he wants” so if you enjoyed or hated the show then McMahon is the person to give credit or blame to. There were some specific segments moved around and re-writing of dialogue throughout the day.
The ratings for Raw dropped to a record low number this week, which can’t make anyone in management happy.
