Charlotte Flair announced on Twitter that she has tested positive for COVID-19.
Flair took to Twitter to address her condition, saying she knows everyone has been wondering where she is. She announced she tested positive for COVID and is home resting.
It is not known when she tested positive for the virus that has infected over 124 million people and killed over 2.7 million people worldwide.
As WrestleMania is 19 days away, Flair could be cleared in time to have a match at the event.
Flair last appeared on the March 8 episode of WWE Raw. Her last match was against Shayna Baszler on March 1. Flair had been positioning herself for a Raw Women’s Championship match against Asuka at WrestleMania.
Rhea Ripley, who made her debut earlier tonight on WWE Raw, will instead challenge Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. Ripley acknowledged that Flair had COVID, only the second person WWE has actually acknowledged on television as having the virus. Drew McIntyre was the first in January.
Flair’s fiancee, Andrade, was granted his release from WWE last night.
We will continue to follow this story as more becomes available.
