Asuka surpasses one of Bayley’s WWE milestones

An interesting stat has been revealed online involving Asuka and Bayley.

Bayley had surpassed Charlotte Flair Flair’s previously held record of the most combined days as a reigning champion of any woman in modern WWE history in October.

At the time, Bayley set that record while the SmackDown Women’s Champion, but has since lost the title. She did so at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event to Sasha Banks.

Because Bayley is no longer the champ, Asuka has the new record in modern times at 952 days while in the middle of a reign as Raw Women’s Champion. This record includes the Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and Divas Titles. Just like Bayley, Asuka was never a Divas Champion.

You could make the argument Bayley had a more historic reign as she is the longest-reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion, which was previously held by Becky Lynch, but that record was set in December 2019.

WWE holds the Survivor Series pay-per-view event on November 22 in Orlando, Florida at the Amway Center on the WWE Network. Because WWE is doing the Raw vs. SmackDown build, no titles will be defended at this show.

Instead, Asuka will take on Banks in a champion vs. champion match.
