Last night, WWE granted Andrade his release from the company.
According to a report by F4WOnline, Andrade’s WWE release does not include a 90-day non-compete clause. This means Andrade would be able to take bookings immediately.
Andrade (Manuel Oropeza), 31, took to Twitter this morning to issue a tweet thanking Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Paul Heyman, and William Regal for the support they gave him during his time with WWE. Andrade also thanked the fans and the talent that were always nice to him.
In December 2019, Andrade filed for trademarks on “La Sombra” and “El Idolo.” La Sombra was the name Andrade used in CMLL and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
I want to thank @TripleH , @HeymanHustle and @RealKingRegal for all these years and great support that they gave me all these years also to the fans who were always supporting me, a big hug to all the talent and workers who always behaved kindly to me. 👊🏼🙏🏼
