Adam Copeland Wants to Enjoy Another Year and a Half Before Retirement

Adam Copeland, also known as “The Rated-R Superstar,” recently had a chat with Brandon Walker from Mostly Sports. In their conversation, he mentioned that he is looking at retiring in about a year and a half.

Reflecting on his journey, Copeland shared, “I’ve experienced a lot more in life since my last retirement. It may sound strange, but it has actually added depth to my performances. As a performer, whether in wrestling or acting, you need to tap into something deep to bring your character to life. During my time off, I dabbled in acting and did over 100 episodes of television. I believe the skills I honed during that time have helped me evolve as a performer in wrestling. While I may not be as quick as before, mentally, I feel sharper than ever.”

He went on to draw a parallel with legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady, saying, “Like Brady, I feel that mentally, I’m at the top of my game. I understand the wrestling world better now. However, I am also mindful of not overstaying my welcome. I don’t want to be the veteran that younger talents reluctantly face in the ring. I want them to be eager and enthusiastic about stepping into the ring with me. I believe I have about a year and a half of active wrestling left in me. By then, I hope to have given my all and created memorable moments for the fans.”
