AEW Rampage Quick Results – 2/25/22 (Women’s Title Match Contract Signing)
Below are the quick results with some highlights from Friday night’s AEW Rampage that aired on TNT.
Sammy Guevara (c) defeated Andrade El Idolo to retain the TNT Championship
Matt Hardy attacks Guevara after the match. Darby Allin and Sting then run down to the ring to make the save.
QT Marshall on the mic scolded Taz over the recent actions of Hook. Marshall said he trained Hook and taught him respect. He wanted Hook to come out to thank him.
Hook cames out. Marshall waved in for his trainees to take on Hook, but Hook took out all of them. Marshall looked surprised.
There was a backstage segment with Dan Lambert, Ethan Page, and Scorpio Sky. Lambert demanded that Sky received a TNT Championship Match. Lambert then said that he was assured Sky will get his opportunity before the winner of the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match.
Wardlow defeated Nick Comoroto
Aaron Solo attempted to jump Wardlow after the match, but got caught by Wardlow. Wardlow then flipped Solo into a powerbomb position. Shawn Spears then hit Solo with a chair while Wardlow had him up for a powerbomb. Solo then fell to the mat as it looked like Wardlow was hit in the hand.
Spears grabbed a mic and told Wardlow he he didn’t think the Powerbomb Symphony works. working. He said that he doesn’t think it’s “getting over”. He told Wardlow to get back to basics. Spears declared “no more powerbombs”. The fans then booed loudly.
Serena Deeb defeated Kayla Sparks
Contract signing for the AEW Women’s World Championship Match at Revolution between Thunder Rosa and Champion Dr. Britt Baker.
Rosa said to “Give the people what they want. A better champion you cheating B—-”
Rosa signed the contract. Baker then took the mic and said Rosa is only relevant when she’s mentioned in the same breath with Baker. Baker then said they made history in their “Lights Out” match and Rosa won, but everyone talked about Baker after the match.
Baker told Rosa she is bitter. Baker then said that Rosa thinks winning the title will solve all of her problems, but Rosa will never be Baker. She (Baker) signed the contract. As Baker then kept mouthing Rosa, she (Rosa), dived across the table onto Baker. Jamie Hayter and Rebel intervened. Mercedes Martinez then came to make the save. Martinez put Hayter through the table.
Orange Cassidy defeated Anthony Bowens in a Face of The Revolution Ladder Qualifying Match
