AEW Dynamite declines in viewership and key demo from last week, remains in top 5 on cable (12/16)

The live viewership numbers for both AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT are in.

AEW did decline while NXT saw a slight increase in total viewers. It was AEW that took the win this week in total viewership and won the key demo despite being down from last week’s high.

AEW was coming off back-to-back weeks that not only saw an increase in total viewership, but also in the key demo. Last week, AEW ranked number 2 for the night on cable.

Dynamite drew 806,000 live viewers and NXT drew 766,000 live viewers. Last week, AEW drew 995,000 while NXT drew 659,000.

AEW ranked #3 in the top 150 shows on cable while NXT was #34. As is the case in most weeks, AEW won the 18-49 demographic.

Viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.32 / NXT: 0.19
Female viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.22 / NXT: 0.14
Male viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.43 / NXT: 0.25
Viewers 18-34 – AEW: 0.15 / NXT: 0.07
Female viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.12 / NXT: 0.06
Male viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.11 / NXT: 0.13
Viewers 25-54 – AEW: 0.38 / NXT: 0.23
Viewers 50+ – AEW: 0.30 / NXT: 0.37
