Tommy “Tiny” Lister (aka Zeus in WWE) has passed away

Tommy “Tiny” Lister has passed away, as first reported by TMZ.

TMZ reports that a call was made to police today just before 3 pm Pacific time regarding an unconscious male and he was pronounced dead on the scene. There is no word yet on the cause of death.

Lister is known to most fans as Deebo on the “Friday” movies but many wrestling fans remember his time in the World Wrestling Federation in 1989 as Zeus. He played the Zeus character in the No Holds Barred movie alongside Hulk Hogan and as part of the promotion, they used the Zeus character on WWF television for a feud with Hogan.

Zeus returned to professional wrestling for WCW as Z-Gangsta to feud with Hogan and Randy Savage.

Lister was 62 years old. We send our condolences to his friends and family.
